Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Cudjoe Fianoo has hailed all the sixteen (16) premier league clubs for playing throughout the season so well despite the lack of title sponsor for the league.
Mr. Fianoo on Asempa FM said the season has been good given the level of competition and efforts among the various clubs.
The lack of a title sponsor for the league, he said, was the only minus.
“The 2016/2017 premier league season was not bad at all. I think the clubs did so well but if we had a title sponsor, it would have been better.
“The clubs did not give up and played through all the struggles because playing in the league is not easy financially so the presence of a title sponsor would have helped,” he said.
The Ghana Premier League was played without a title sponsor for the second season running.
