An unemployed man was nearly lynched after he was caught stealing vehicle parts at a car park of a church in Accra.
According to reports, the thief who was worshipping at the Ernest Bruce Methodist Church at Circle, sneaked out of the church to the car part to carry out the operation.
But luck eluded him when the security man of the church, Adu Bodi caught him red-handed removing some parts of a vehicle at the car park.
In an interview on Adom News, he said the young man had removed the side mirrors of the car and in the process of removing others when he was alerted by residents in the area.
Mr. Bodi said he quickly accosted him and with the help of the church driver, they locked him up at the security post awaiting the police.

Also, the lady whose car parts was removed expressed shock at the incident especially at a church premises.
“I was in church when my car number was mentioned so when I went out I was told what has happened, in fact I’m shocked.
The lady said the mirrors was retrieved from the thief and she is yet to fix it back on the car.

Meanwhile, administrator of the church, Stanley Tetteh bemoaned the incessant robbery incident at the church premises.
He indicated that, the incident is one of many that has bedeviled the church over the years adding that, if he beefed up security to prevent such incidence from recur.
The suspect, Mr. Tetteh said has been handed over to the Adabraka police for further investigations.
