After those catastrophic demonstrations that led to the destruction of ECG offices and injuries, the Youth of Yilo and Manya are up in arms again, in protest, demanding a copy of an MOU signed to make way for the construction of the Akuse Dam.
The youth say that MOU has been breached as far as the interest of the Krobos are concerned.
According to them, they have been negatively affected by the construction of the dam and no remedy has been made available to them.
The youth say the situation has created undue economic hardships on the people adding that having a copy of the agreement to enable them clearly see what their benefits ought to be and how to make the proper demands through proper institution.
Spokesperson for the group Amartey Konotey tells Adom News that they will do everything within their might to suspend the celebration of the Kloyosikplemi and Ngayem festivals by the Somanya and Odumase respectively until their demands are met.
Currently there is heavy security in the town as demonstrators insist on going to the palace of the Konor but were quickly stopped by the police.
