The Black Queens of Ghana began their Africa Women’s Championship on a perfect note by defeating Kenya 3-1 on Sunday.

Samira Suleman drew the Black Queens level 5 minutes into the second half after heading in a cross from Portia Boakye.
Captain Elizabeth Addo shot the three-time finalist in front after converting from the penalty spot after Portia Boakye had her cross struck the arms of Kenyan defender Ann Aluoch.
Samira Suleman was unlucky when she had her excellent goal disallowed by the center referee in the 82nd minute.
Portia Boakye rounded-up victory for the Black Queens after taking a teasing free-kick late in the game to end the match in favor of Coach Yusif Basigi’s side.
Ghana will take on Nigeria in their next game on Wednesday.
Nigeria top the Group with 3 points after thrashing Mali 6-0.
