Electricity Company of Ghana, Tema region has recovered about GH¢ 3 million from power theft.
This comes after the Tema region intensified its monitoring between January and September this year.
Revenue Management Officer, Emmanuel Seidu who spoke on behalf the Commercial Manager said more men are being deployed to fight illegal connection.
He said they have been able to collect GH¢ 2.4 million and have scheduled it for the customers to pay adding that, activities of unearthing any illegality happening in some houses has helped the Electricity Company.
Mr Seidu noted that, his outfit will continue to intensify the house to house campaign in order to replace all credit meters to prepaid meters in the Tema region.
He disclosed this to Adom News after a media interaction session in Tema.
According to Emmanuel Seidu, several measures are being put in place to reduce commercial loses in 2017.
