Fire has gutted the main dormitory of St. Charles Senior High School in Tamale.
Properties estimated at several thousands of Ghana Cedis have also been consumed by the fire Wednesday night.
The cause of the fire is not immediately known but reports say it started from the top floor of the structure at about 10:30pm soon after students returned from preps.
Fire personnel who were called to the scene managed to douse the inferno.
Adom News’ Illiasu Abdul Rauf reported that, first and second-year students have been sent home to return on March 28, 2017.
Final year students who have no immediate exam papers to sit have also been directed to go home and return Thursday, March 23, 2017 as part of measures to contain a residential crisis in the all-male secondary school.
