NPP will fail in attempt to oust Charlotte Osei – NDC man

An activist of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Gyamfi has accused the ruling NPP as being the architect behind a petition filed to oust Chairperson of the Electoral Commission.
According to him, the spirited defense mounted by some members of the NPP including Nana Obiri Boahen (Deputy Secretary) show clearly the party is complicit in the “grand scheme” to get the EC Boss out of office.
To him the ruling party will certainly fail in such a cruel attempt because it will be resisted by the laws and conscionable elders of this country.
“Weighing up all the issues you can deduce that NPP is actively behind this petition against Charlotte Osei. Look at how they are jumping to the defense of the petitioners. Won’t you say they are complicit? Statements from Nana Obiri Boahen shows this is a grand scheme by NPP to oust long time enemy Charlotte Osei” he opined.
EC Boss Charlotte Osei is battling a petition filed by some of his staff seeking to impeach her from office over some stated misconducts.
Spokesperson at the presidency, Eugene Arhin has confirmed the petition filed and says the President will study it and forward to the appropriate quarters.
The 29-point petition makes some damning allegations against Mrs. Charlotte Osei but she has vehement denied all charges in a press release.
She has also threatened court action against the petitioners or their counsel for defaming her.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday, Sammy Gyamfi alleged that the woes of Charlotte Osei are being masterminded by some corrupt faceless NPP Fanatics who work at the Electoral Commission.
He stressed that charges in the petition filed by some EC staff to start the removal process of Charlotte Osei show the whole thing is borne out of hatred.
“When you weigh up the issues, it shows they just hate Charlotte Osei. The whole thing is being perpetrated by some corrupt faceless NPP people in EC. It started because she ordered an investigation into malfeasance of an endowment fund at the EC so she will be frustrated” he further alleged.
The NDC youth activist accused the NPP government led by Nana Akufo-Addo of hounding heads of state institutions since he assumed office early this year.
“I don’t know why the NPP under Akufo-Addo are hounding heads of institutions in this country like that. This style of governance will never help us as a people. I tell you that the NPP won’t succeed in its attempt to oust Charlotte Osei. What they are doing won’t ever fly”.
