The Minister for Youth and Sports, Isaac Kwame Asiamah stormed out of the Alisa Hotel in Accra where members of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) have gathered for congress.
The minister who was to deliver a speech at the congress asked that the speech be read on his behalf as he could not wait for the programme to commence.
The GOC congress which was scheduled to start at 9am started late and the minister who was there on time could not wait and hence left the event.
Isaac Asiamah’s decision to abandon the congress for his speech to be read on his behalf by another person, has been applauded by many who think the time is up for Ghanaians to respect time.
Sixty one delegates of the GOC are set to cast a vote to elect the next President for the committee.
Prof. Francis Dodoo and Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah are the two contestants in the race.
