Asamoah Gyan gets honorary doctorate

The Alfred Noble University in Ukraine will on Saturday, 8 July, 2017 confer an honorary doctorate degree on Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan.
Gyan is being honoured for his achievements in football.
He has played three successive World Cups – 2006, 2010 and 2014 – and happens to be Africa’s highest scorer at the Mundial with six goals, beating the likes of Roger Milla, Samuel Eto’o Fils, Didier Drogba, among others.
Gyan is also Ghana’s all-time highest scorer, having netted 51 international goals so far.
Gyan has played for Liberty Professionals in Ghana, Modena and Udinese in Italy, Rennes in France, Sunderland in England, Al Ain and Al Ahly, both in the United Arab Emirates, Shanghai SIPG in China and recently joined Turkish side Kayserispor.
The striker will also be awarded the Honorary Personality of Exemplary Leadership by the university.
