PHOTOS: Prempeh College Old boys host NSMQ winning team

The mood at the GCB club house on Thursday evening was one with smiles, laughter and joy as the old students of Prempeh College popularly known as ‘Amanfour’ hosted the 2017 National science and math quiz champions for dinner.
It wasn’t just the seniors but some old girls of Yaa Asantewaa girl’s school known as ‘Adehye’ were also present to cheer their men on.

The boys were accompanied by the headmaster; Mr. Samuel fordjour and a team of teachers.
The evening begun with a prayer by Rev Snr Moses Allison Tetteh and that was quickly followed by the presentation of the trophy.
The head master expressed his gratitude to the Amanfour secretariat and the entire Amanfour community far and near for their immense support and prayers, not only for the quiz team but for the school at large.

He further promised that he and his staff will do all within their means to ensure the team to be presented next year for the quiz bring home the trophy.
The president of Global Amanfour, an umbrella body of all Amanfours in the diaspora and here in Ghana Mr K. F. Asante, congratulated the team on winning the enviable trophy.
He also advised the boys to take their studies seriously so as to achieve greater feeds not only for themselves but the college at large.
He further showered praises on the teachers who sacrificed their time to train the students.
The regional president, Kwabena Nyarko together with Mr Asante made cash donations to the team and teachers as a token for their hard work and promised to follow it up with more.

As if that was not enough, Senior Nana Kwame Yeboah-Afari and executive director of Royal Senchi Resort invited the winning team for a royal treat at Royal Senchi Resort with their parents and reassured the house of his continuous support to his alma Mata.
The old boys meet every Tuesday at the GCB club house to jaw-jaw on matters of the school.

The rest of the evening was emerged with photo sessions with the trophy and contestants as well as some sumptuous meals and lots to drink.
This milestone achieved by Daniel and Wonder comes on the heels of winning the national and world Robotics championship in 2016 as well as the 2015 National science and math quiz. The great college is certainly on a rise!
