Hot audio: ‘Greedy bastards in NPP want BOST MD out’

-

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) has said a cartel in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) are behind attempts to sabotage the Managing Director of BOST, Alfred Obeng Boateng.

According to Stephen Amoah, some detractors in his party are working closely with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to fabricate stories to ensure the BOST MD is sacked.

“Some NPP bigwigs should be blamed for the man’s current situation. They are ganging up with some members of the NDC just to tarnish the hard earned image of Alfred Obeng Boateng in order to have him fired” he stated on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday.

Mr Amoah was reacting to the call by the Minority NDC in Parliament demanding the immediate termination of the appointment of the Managing Director BOST, Alfred Obeng Boateng.

According to the members, the MD had allegedly colluded, connived and supervised the sale of five million litres of contaminated fuel to a private company, adding that he has some interest in the deal.

The Minority said that through the sale of the contaminated fuel, the nation lost $14.25 million and that all those involved must be made to refund the money back to the state in compliance with a Supreme Court ruling on state funds that are wasted or stolen by public office holders.

According to the Minority, their investigations had revealed that Movenpiina Company was the only entity that BOST dealt with in a sole-sourced transaction.

“Our checks from the Registrar-General’s Department show that the company was incorporated to trade and transport fuel on May 29, 2017 but put in a bid to buy the fuel on May 19, 2017,” the minority said, stressing that there is some sort of collusion in the transaction.

But Steve Amoah popularly known as Sticker blamed the supposed saboteurs in the NPP for the man’s current predicament.

He indicated that, because the BOST MD stopped their attempt to steal money from the state through BOST, they are ready to move heaven on earth to bring him down.

Steve Amoah stressed that Mr. Obeng Boateng is a self-made man hence does not need government money to be rich.

“This man in his private life was already rich and driving a Bentley before he was appointed at BOST” he stated.
