Ghana’s U-20 national team, the Black Satellites, will take on Zambia in a friendly match today, Tuesday, April 22, as part of their final preparations for the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The match is set to take place at the Folip Gardens Hotel football grounds in Cairo, with kick-off scheduled for 18:00 GMT.
This fixture provides an opportunity for Head Coach Desmond Ofei and his technical team to fine-tune strategies and assess the effectiveness of the tactical plans implemented during the team’s recent training sessions.
Zambia’s U-20 side, who are also currently in Egypt ahead of the tournament, have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Egypt, South Africa, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania.
The Black Satellites arrived in Cairo on Saturday to continue their build-up to the competition, which officially begins on Sunday, April 27, and runs until May 18, 2025.
Ghana will kick off their Group C campaign on Friday, May 2, with a challenging opener against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
