Nations FC head coach, Kassim Ocansey Mingle, has praised his side’s determination and motivation after their impressive 2-0 victory over Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The Abrankese-based outfit added to Kotoko’s recent struggles with a commanding performance at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Matchday 28 of the Ghana Premier League.

Nafiu Sulemana set the tone early with a stunning strike in the 15th minute, before Emmanuel Annor doubled the lead just before halftime to seal a well-deserved win for Nations FC.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach Mingle revealed the mindset and message he instilled in his players ahead of the crucial clash.

“We came with our game plan to get the goals, and it worked to perfection,” he said.

“I told my players they will have to win this game if they want to be title contenders. So they were all motivated, and they all played their role well.

“We came to play and win, that was our strategy coming into the game,” he added.

The victory keeps Nations FC firmly in second place on the league table with 51 points. They will next face Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Matchday 29.
