The stage at the Adom Kwahu Festival turned into a lyrical battleground as young rap talents locked horns in a fierce face-off.
Five budding rappers stepped into the spotlight, but after intense rounds and the valid votes of the crowd, only two, Dragon and Maputo emerged as finalists.
The duo clashed in over four heated battles, each pushing the other to the lyrical edge.
The audience was torn, votes kept fluctuating, and tension was high, but everything changed when Maputo switched gears and delivered a hard-hitting Twi rap.
The crowd went wild and the votes quickly swung in his favour, and it looked like Maputo had it in the bag.
Just as he was about to be crowned winner, a new challenger, Top Gear, stepped into the ring unannounced.
What followed was nothing short of epic as Maputo and Top Gear went bar-for-bar in a freestyle frenzy that rocked the crowd.
Their delivery, punchlines and overall stage presence were so evenly matched that the crowd couldn’t decide.
Adom’s Kasahare session not only entertained but proved that the streets are still birthing raw, authentic talent.
And if this battle was anything to go by, Ghana’s next rap superstar may have just been discovered at Kwahu.
