This is just the beginning – Kudus eyes more success in career

-

Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus has expressed his determination to reach even greater heights in his football career, despite already achieving significant milestones at a young age.

The 24-year-old, who lifted trophies with Dutch side Ajax before making a move to English Premier League club West Ham United, has quickly cemented his place as a key figure for the Hammers.

In his debut season, Kudus played an instrumental role in helping West Ham reach the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League.

Reflecting on his journey, Kudus acknowledged the support he’s received but maintained that he is only getting started.

“It means a lot, but I don’t think they’re too surprised because they put in the effort for me and pushed me to get to this point,” he told NBC Sports.

“All credit to them. This is just the beginning. I still have a lot of goals and things I want to achieve. I’ve reached some goals, but I set new ones and will keep aiming high until whenever I hang up my boots,” he added.

Kudus has also made his mark on the international stage, featuring for Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
