Thomas Partey urges Arsenal to stay confident ahead of return leg clash with Real Madrid

-

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has called on his Arsenal teammates to remain confident as they prepare for a crucial Champions League second-leg encounter against Real Madrid.

The Gunners will travel to the iconic Santiago Bernabéu on Wednesday, holding a commanding 3-0 advantage from the first leg.

Partey, who has been in impressive form, followed up his Champions League performance with a goal in Arsenal’s Premier League victory over Brentford — a sign of his growing influence in the team’s midfield.

Ahead of the decisive fixture in Madrid, Partey shared his belief in the squad’s ability to get the job done against the reigning European champions.

“I think we’ve experienced this many times when we play here, and I think it’s not going to be something different,” he said.

“We just have to be confident with the ball and try to play our game.

“We all know what we have to do. We have to go there with the mentality to win. We want to win every game.

“And I think we have to play our game, be confident with the ball and also try to find our weaknesses and keep attacking them,” he added.

Kick-off is set for 19:00 GMT.
