The Ghana Police Service, following an intelligence-led operation, has arrested Dawuda Sumaila, a tanker driver’s mate, in connection with a viral assault incident in the Eastern Region.
The incident occurred on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Anyinam, where Sumaila was captured on video physically assaulting a young man with a machete near a fuel tanker.
Sumaila was apprehended on April 9, 2025, and is currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations into the matter.
