Five people have been severely injured in a multi-vehicle accident on the Ring Road in Accra, which occurred around noon on Thursday, April 9, 2025.
The accident involved five vehicles and is believed to have been caused by a Kia truck, registered GX 3456-21, loaded with bricks.
The truck is suspected to have suffered a brake failure, leading to a chain collision.
Eyewitnesses reported that the truck, traveling along the Ring Road, lost control after its brakes reportedly failed, crashing into several vehicles, including private cars.
Emergency services, including police, quickly arrived at the scene to assist the injured. The victims, including a young boy, were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The five individuals sustained serious injuries, and authorities are investigating the cause of the truck’s brake failure.
