Former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament (MP), Sarah Adwoa Safo, has honoured her invitation to appear before the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Disciplinary Committee.
In a show of solidarity, she was accompanied by a large group of supporters to the NPP headquarters at Asylum Down in Accra on Monday, April 7. The supporters arrived at the party headquarters even before Adwoa Safo.
Despite initial reports suggesting the NPP leadership had rescheduled the sitting, Adwoa Safo confirmed that she was unaware of any such changes.
The meeting, scheduled for 11:00 am, comes after a series of media interviews in which Adwoa Safo discussed internal party matters, despite a clear directive instructing members to refrain from doing so.
NPP leadership views her public comments as harmful to the party’s efforts to rebuild and unify, particularly following the party’s defeat in the 2024 general elections.
Her actions are seen as further exacerbating internal tensions and hindering reconciliation efforts.
