While fame seems to have become the new stage for Afua Asantewaa, known for her Guinness World Record Sing-a-thon challenge, her daughter appears to be overwhelmed by the attention.
Speaking on 4Kids Paradise on Joy Prime, Afua Etruwaa opened up about how the constant spotlight on her family is affecting her mental and emotional well-being.
According to her, the very fame that has brought her mother admiration and applause has, in many ways, built an invisible cage around her own life.
“We face a lot of challenges,” she shared in a heartfelt interview. “Sometimes I want to go to the mall, but my mother will say people will see me and capture me.”
Despite her dreams of becoming a beauty queen, Etruwaa says she longs for a more private and free life.
She added that people’s words and actions often make her feel like she’s being forced into a shell.
Her remarks shed light on the unseen pressures that come with fame—especially for the children and families of public figures.
