Nations FC head coach, Kasim Mingle, has heaped praise on team captain Razak Simpson following his stellar display in their narrow 1-0 victory over Hearts of Oak.

The Abrankese-based side secured all three points in a fiercely contested outstanding Matchday 21 fixture at the Tuba Astroturf on Thursday.

Simpson, who also features for the Black Stars, delivered a moment of brilliance in the 65th minute, unleashing a thunderous strike that proved to be the difference in the tightly fought encounter.

Addressing the media after the game, Coach Mingle expressed admiration for Simpson’s leadership and decisive contribution.

“I don’t know how to describe the goal. The strike was very, very beautiful,” he said. “I congratulate him; as a captain and leader of the side, he has proved his worth,” Mingle added.

The victory lifts Nations FC to fourth place on the Ghana Premier League table with 39 points. They will look to build on their momentum when they welcome Karela United to the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium on Monday, April 7.
