The case involving Samuel Adjei, who is being held for the murder of a queen mother at Nungua, has been adjourned to March 26 due to the absence of the judge.
Adjei faces charges of unlawful possession of firearms and murder. His plea has not yet been taken.
Meanwhile, the police are preparing a duplicate docket to be submitted to the Attorney General’s office for advice.
Adjei was arrested after Lawrencia Naa Borley Nelson (Naa Gamu), a queen mother of the Ga Adangme Muslim Union, was fatally shot during her enskinment ceremony at Nungua in Accra.
The incident occurred when a musket fired as part of the ceremony struck the queen mother in the thigh.
