In celebration of the 2025 International Women’s Day, Unilever Ghana hosted the Geisha National Women Summit and Expo on Friday, March 7.

The event, held under the theme ‘Accelerate Action,’ aimed to recognize women’s contributions across various sectors and their role in national development.

Bringing together accomplished women from different fields, the summit provided a platform for them to share their career journeys and achievements.

Speaking at the event, Brand Marketing Manager Derrick Odechie-Bossman emphasized that women’s contributions are vital to national progress and should never be overlooked, which is the driving force behind organizing the event.

Odechie-Bossman also announced that Unilever Ghana will provide GHS 100,000 in support of 10 outstanding women across the country to empower and uplift them.

Ghana Bar Association (GBA) President Efua Ghartey, who served as the guest speaker, highlighted how women continue to break barriers and reach positions once considered unattainable.

She cited her election as GBA president, along with Victoria Nana Ama Barth’s role as vice president, as key examples of progress.
