-

The Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP) will today, March 7, 2025, lead a walk to commemorate the 2025 International Women’s Day (IWD).

Dubbed the Empowerment Walk, the event will begin from the Obra Spot at Kwame Nkrumah Circle and end at the ministry’s new office complex.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, the Minister, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, explained that the walk will be preceded by a forum and other activities.

She noted that the event is being held on Friday since the actual IWD falls on Saturday, March 8.

“We will reflect on the journey after 50 years and focus on charting a new path, basically to review and set an agenda that will make the way forward significant and achievable,” she stated.

This initiative aligns with the global theme, For All Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment., under the campaign hashtag #ForAllWomenAndGirls.
