Residents of Krachi Nchumuru in the Oti Region have appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to appoint Ibrahim Mumuni, the current constituency secretary, as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.
Their request comes as the community seeks effective leadership and dedicated representation in local governance.
Mumuni is among three shortlisted candidates awaiting appointment as DCE for the Krachi Nchumuru District.
Speaking to Adom News, the residents praised his unwavering commitment to the district’s development, stating that his active engagement with the community has earned him their respect and admiration.
They believe his deep understanding of local issues, along with his ability to connect with the people, makes him the ideal candidate for the role.
According to the residents, Mumuni’s background as a teacher and constituency secretary has equipped him with the skills to navigate local governance effectively.
They also noted that his established relationships with community members and stakeholders would foster collaboration and drive development initiatives.
Community leaders emphasized the need for a DCE who is not only competent but also genuinely concerned about the welfare of the people.
They expressed confidence that Mumuni, if appointed, would prioritize key projects in roads, education, healthcare, and infrastructure to improve living conditions in the district.
