Mahama reaffirms commitment to Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill

President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting a government-backed Proper Family Values or Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill.

He disclosed that discussions have been held with the Speaker of Parliament to advance legislation that aligns with Ghanaian cultural and religious values, stressing that marriage in the country will remain strictly between a man and a woman.

The announcement was made during a Fellowship and Thanksgiving Service with the clergy, a key step towards establishing a National Day of Prayer.

The initiative aims to place God at the center of national governance, ensuring that decisions at all levels are guided by faith and moral principles.

Addressing the gathering, President Mahama emphasized that Ghana remains a godly nation where traditional family structures must be upheld.

He assured the public that his leadership will be rooted in integrity, humility, and wisdom, while incorporating the ideas and contributions of citizens.

Prayers were offered for all arms of government, ministries, agencies, and departments as the administration seeks divine guidance in managing the country’s affairs.
