We are working in the interest of Ghanaians – Fisheries Minister

-

The Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Emelia Louisa Kobiaba Ama Atinka Arthur, has assured Ghanaians of the government’s commitment to improving the sector and addressing its challenges.

Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam morning show, she emphasized that her administration is focused on delivering results rather than dwelling on difficulties.

“Our regime is not here to complain; we have just four years, and Ghanaians believe in us—that is why they gave us the mandate. We are here to work and will fix the country,” she stated.

Arthur also expressed her readiness to implement improvements in the sector, stressing the importance of collaboration when necessary.

“I am open to working with the former minister if the need arises. If I encounter anything I don’t understand in the work or notice any discrepancies, I can reach out for clarification. All the staff members remain unchanged and are still working here. We are dedicated to serving the interests of Ghanaians. Our focus is on the work at hand, and that is what we will do,” she added.
