The Kasoa Ofaakor District Police Command has arrested six young boys for allegedly assaulting two Junior High School (JHS) pupils at Kasoa Gada in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.
Three other accomplices are said to be on the run.
The incident reportedly occurred on Friday around 7:00 pm.
According to information gathered by Adom News, the attack happened after an interschool soccer competition at Kasoa Opeikuma.
On their way back to Kasoa Gada, seven of the suspects allegedly confronted the victims, dragged them into a nearby bush, and assaulted them.
Two of the suspects have been identified as classmates of the victims.
Police sources indicate that five of the six arrested suspects are 15 years old, while their alleged leader, known as Bulldog, is 19 years old.
The victims’ parents reported the incident to their teachers on Monday, leading to the arrest of the six suspects, while the remaining three are still at large.
