Several properties worth thousands of cedis have been destroyed following a gas explosion at the Bush Canteen of the University of Ghana, Legon.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, though the exact cause of the explosion remains unknown.
Videos shared on Facebook by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) captured the rapid spread of flames, with thick plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.
Firefighters responded swiftly to the scene to bring the situation under control and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby areas.
Authorities are yet to determine the full extent of the damage and the cause of the explosion.
