Deputy Minister of Education-designate, Dr. Clement Apaak, has urged parents to take full advantage of the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, emphasizing its long-term benefits for the nation.

Speaking during his vetting in Parliament, Dr. Apaak reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the policy, assuring that it has come to stay.

He encouraged parents and guardians to enroll their children, stressing that quality education remains a priority.

During the session, preliminary questions were raised by Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who made critical remarks about the previous administration.

However, Dr. Apaak apologized, attributing his past comments to the heat of the election period.

He also highlighted the importance of girls’ education, describing it as crucial to national development.

Addressing concerns about the possible cancellation of the Free SHS policy, he set the record straight, assuring that the government remains dedicated to its implementation.
