Afrobeat artist Kelvynboy has come under fire from music fans after a viral video surfaced of him linking up with dancehall star Shatta Wale.
What was expected to symbolize unity in the music industry has instead been interpreted as an act of betrayal, particularly by fans of Bhim Nation.
During their interaction, Kelvynboy referred to Shatta Wale as his “godfather,” while Shatta Wale praised his talent, even calling him the artist behind the number-one song in Ghana.
However, this meeting has not gone down well with some Bhim Nation loyalists, who see it as a shift in allegiance. They argue that Shatta Wale, a known rival of Kelvynboy’s former boss, Stonebwoy, being openly endorsed by Kelvynboy, is a subtle dig at Stonebwoy.
While Kelvynboy has yet to address the backlash, the debate continues on social media, with fans questioning his loyalty and motives.
