You are not smarter than us – NDC man tells NPP

A former Akwapim North District Chief Executive (DCE) has cautioned the entire Nana Addo administration to stop trying to ‘dribble’ Ghanaians as according to him, ‘they are not smarter than members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).’

Opare Addo speaking on Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Tuesday said the NPP and its communicators always ‘behave as if they are wiser than all Ghanaians’ and that he said is very insulting.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia upon a return from China expressed optimism over a $15 billion funding partnership agreement and commitment reached between the Government of Ghana and China.

The funding partnership with China, Dr. Bawumia explained, is not based on the traditional model of borrowing and aid. The new model, he noted, is based on the bargaining power of the country’s natural resources such the 2.8 billion metric tonnes of iron ore deposits, 960 million metric tonnes of bauxite, 413 million metric tonnes of Manganese and not to mention Gold and Cocoa.

Government communicators have since praised the Vice President for securing the funding partnership which would mainly go into the one district, one factory project of the government.

Commenting on this, Opare Addo said the NPP should stop going to town with the news of the $ 15 billion Chinese package as the money is yet to arrive and the NDC’s experience with the $ 3 billion Chinese loan should act as enough warning for them.

The NPP government, he said, is seeking to avoid the fact that they are going for a loan because of how they bastardized the Mahama administration for going on a borrowing spree.

“Stop throwing dust into our eyes, you are never smarter than us, they are just behaving that when we were in the same classroom, they were far better than us but that is never true…they should just learn from the failure of the NDC,” he said.

Opare Addo claimed that the NPP is struggling to govern Ghana currently because of the numerous lies that communicators of the party told about the Mahama administration during the 2016 electioneering campaign.

“NPP won power through lies and are seeking to govern the country through lies but Stop throwing dust into our eyes, you are never smarter than us, they are just trying to tell us that when we were in the same classroom, they were far better than us but that is never true…,” he said.
