A middle-aged man, believed to be in his early 40s, has been found dead in a bush at Owuraku, a suburb of Adoagyiri in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality of the Eastern Region.
Eyewitnesses say the victim sustained severe head injuries and had his throat nearly slit, indicating a brutal attack.
His lifeless body was discovered near a football field by residents, who immediately alerted community leaders and the police.
Speaking to Adom News, shocked residents expressed fear and concern over the gruesome incident.
Odokwei Damtey, a unit committee member in the area, confirmed the deceased’s identity and urged the police to intensify their investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Authorities have launched a probe into the mysterious killing.
