The Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum, has called for peace and unity to drive development in the region.

The Western North Region, since its creation in 2019, has faced multiple challenges, including land disputes, border conflicts, and chieftaincy disagreements, which have significantly hindered progress.

As part of his familiarization tour to the Suaman District, the Minister paid a courtesy call to the Suaman Traditional Council, where he urged chiefs and opinion leaders to foster a peaceful environment for growth.

According to him, development thrives in peaceful settings, and without unity, the region will struggle to attract the necessary investments and infrastructural projects.

He called on traditional leaders and all stakeholders to support his administration in ensuring the success of the region.

Additionally, Wilbert Petty Brentum assured the traditional authorities that he would remind the President of the promises made to the region during the election campaign, reinforcing the government’s commitment to development.
