Ghanaian musician Mr. Drew has revealed his dream of collaborating with American artiste Chris Brown.
Speaking in an interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz, Mr. Drew described the potential collaboration as “lovely” and envisioned an electrifying stage performance.
“I think it’s quite obvious—Chris Brown! Breezyyy! Imagine Drew and Breezy on stage top—it go be crazy! That would be lovely,” he said when asked about his dream collaboration.
When DJ Slim inquired whether he had already prepared a song for Chris Brown, Mr. Drew explained that he would prefer to create content together in the studio rather than just send over a track.
“No, that one we for create am for studio, so sey inside all we dey create content. I don’t want the song sent over; I want contents with him. That alone is a hit. I’ll shoot and post. Like, ego be massive for here,” he said in Pidgin English.
Acknowledging the challenges of making such a collaboration happen, Mr. Drew emphasized the importance of financial backing and industry connections.
“Chale, that side ebi money, we go reach there, ibi money and connect, yeah,” he stated. “We for dey some level, we dey on our way dey go there, sooner or later. The rope, you for pull with money and connections. Everything has to be right.”
Many fans have drawn comparisons between Mr. Drew and Chris Brown, particularly due to their similar blend of singing and dancing.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Mr. Drew has released his debut EP, The Loverboy Era, a soulful collection exploring themes of love, heartbreak, cheating, and romance.
