Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, Dr. Stephen Amoah, has emphasized the need for a proactive approach in addressing the root causes of inflation instability in the country.
He highlighted the urgent need for pragmatic measures to stabilize inflation and mitigate its impact on the economy.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament, Dr. Amoah expressed concern that the state has been addressing only the symptoms of the issue rather than implementing long-term solutions.
He pointed out that inflation instability disrupts budgeting and planning, affecting all sectors of the economy.
To address this, he advocated for a mixed approach to managing commodity prices on the market.
Dr. Amoah also welcomed the positive reception of his proposal by fellow MPs and was encouraged by their willingness to form parliamentary committees to tackle the issue.
