Two people have died in an accident at the Opoku Transport intersectuon on the Tech-Oforikrom stretch on the Kumas-Accra highway.
The accident occurred at 4.30am on Tuesday.
A Ford transit ‘trotro’ bus crashed an OA-branded commercial bus at the junction.
The driver and conductor ‘mate’ of the trotro were killed in the crash.
Eyewitness accounts indicate the trotro driver was speeding and rammed at the side of the bus while negotiating a curve.
The non-functional traffic lights at the intersectuon is said to have been a major factor to the accident.
The incident caused temporary hold up on the busy road until the intervention of emergency services.
