In a remarkable display of courage at KpareKpare, a farming community in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region, a 28-year-old mother saved her son from a terrifying owl attack.
The incident has left the community in awe of the mother’s quick thinking and bravery.
The mother, Sena Gamade, narrated that her son had been experiencing mysterious ailments, including a swollen face, for over two years.
Speaking with Adom News, she said after trying various medications with no improvement, she sought the help of a traditional bonesetter in a neighbouring town, Okuma-Akura.
However, it was not until someone directed her to Pastor Emmanuel Nyande of the Christ Mountain Power Ministry that she found hope.
Sena disclosed that the pastor told her her son’s soul had been sold in the spiritual realm and took them through intense prayers, paving the way for a miraculous intervention.
She explained that the next day, while her son was answering nature’s call, an owl suddenly swooped down from a tree and grabbed him with its sharp talons.
The mother noted that in a split second, she summoned every ounce of courage and sprang into action, grasping the owl and holding it back from her son. They both struggled in a desperate bid for freedom as she felt a sudden surge of energy like an electric shock.
She said she managed to wrestle with the owl and prevent it from flying away with her son. The commotion attracted nearby residents, who rushed to the scene and helped kill the terrifying owl.
In a dramatic conclusion to the ordeal, the owl was brought to the chapel as a testament to the power of faith and the mother’s bravery.
After serving as a witness to the miraculous intervention, the owl was later burnt, symbolizing the defeat of evil and the triumph of good.
