The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has expressed confidence in Kofi Adams’ ability to excel as the new Minister for Sports and Recreation.
Adams, a Member of Parliament, was recently approved by Parliament after a successful vetting, but he is yet to be officially sworn in by President John Dramani Mahama.
Iddrisu, who is also the Member of Parliament for Tamale South and owner of Karela United, stated that Adams has the skills and capabilities required to meet President Mahama’s expectations.
“I have no doubt that Kofi Adams will make President John Dramani Mahama proud as Sports Minister,” Haruna Iddrisu remarked during Parliament proceedings on Tuesday, February 4.
Adams will succeed Mustapha Ussif, who served as the Sports Minister from 2021 to 2024 under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
