Minister-designate For Sports And Recreation, Kofi Adams, Has Reaffirmed The Government’s Commitment To Fulfilling All Promises Made To The Sports Sector Ahead Of The 2024 Elections.

Speaking During His Vetting, Adams Emphasized That The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Administration Remains Dedicated To Enhancing Sports Infrastructure And Support Systems Across The Country.

Key Pledges Include Constructing National Stadiums In Regions Without One, Upgrading The Winneba Sports College Into A Full-Fledged Sports University, And Introducing Financial Allowances For Footballers Across Various Tiers Of Ghanaian Football.

Responding To A Question From Former Sports Minister Mustafa Ussif, Adams Assured That These Commitments Would Be Fully Realized.

“We Are Committed To Every Manifesto Promise,” He Said. “We Will Discuss Them In Detail And Ensure We Implement Them To The Satisfaction Of Everybody When It Comes To Sports,” He Added.

The Buem MP Also Addressed Concerns About His Background In Sports Administration, Expressing Confidence In His Ability To Excel In The Role.

“I Know Many Ghanaians Are Happy About My Nomination. I Will Not Disappoint Them, I Will Not Disappoint President John Dramani Mahama, And I Will Not Disappoint Myself,” He Said.

With The Vetting Process Now Complete, Adams Awaits The Approval Of The Appointments Committee Before Officially Assuming His Position As Minister For Sports And Recreation Under President Mahama’s Administration.
