Margaret Ansei, popularly known as Magoo, has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA).
She succeeds Mrs. Kosi Yankey-Ayeh.
The appointee is a former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Suhum in the Eastern Region and a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication team.
Her appointment took effect on January 27, 2025.
It reflects the government’s trust in her ability to spearhead the GEA’s efforts to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.
GEA is mandated to promote and develop MSMEs, which form the backbone of Ghana’s economy.
As Acting CEO, Ms. Ansei is expected to continue the GEA’s work of empowering small businesses through innovative initiatives, capacity-building programs, and financial support to stimulate economic growth and create employment opportunities.
Magoo is a distinguished public servant with extensive experience in governance and development.
With congratulatory messages pouring in for her, Magoo took to X to express gratitude to President John Mahama for the recognition.
