Former Minister of Health, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, has denied allegations of theft circulating on social media, describing them as baseless and intended to mislead the public.
According to a statement released by his Special Aide, Samuel Kofi Yeboah, the accusations stem from a TikTok video linked to an incident on 18th January 2025.
A group, led by Kabu Saint Emmanuel and Joseph Tetteh, who are both NDC-affiliated Assemblymen from Ledzokuku, allegedly invaded Dr. Okoe Boye’s storage facility in Ajiringano under false pretenses.
The group reportedly vandalized the premises and removed several items, including personal clothing, furniture, motorbikes, oil, and boxes of books authored by Dr. Okoe Boye.
Despite police presence at the scene, the perpetrators, including two police officers in civilian attire, resisted efforts to stop their actions.
Dr. Okoe Boye has urged the public to disregard the allegations, emphasizing his commitment to serving Ghana with integrity.
The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into the incident to ensure justice is served.
“We remain confident in the justice system and call for calm as the investigation unfolds,” the statement concluded.
