Defender Michael Sefah has expressed his joy after sealing a move to Ghanaian football giants Asante Kotoko.
The 29-year-old, who previously featured for Liberty Professionals and Medeama SC, has signed an 18-month contract with the Porcupine Warriors.
“Signing for Kotoko is a proud moment for me. This is a club with such a rich history and a massive following, and I feel honored to wear this jersey,” he said after signing the deal.
Sefah is set to compete for a spot in the starting lineup alongside established defenders James Ablorh, Samba O’Neil, and Henry Ansu.
“I know there’s strong competition for places, with the likes of Ablorh, Samba, and Ansu already here, but I welcome that challenge. Competing with such quality players will only push me to work harder and be at my best,” he stated.
Sefah is determined to contribute to the team’s success.
“I’m ready to give my all on the pitch and contribute to the team’s success. The fans deserve nothing less than our best effort, and I’m here to deliver,” the 29-year-old added.
Having completed his move on transfer deadline day, Sefah could make his debut on Sunday when Asante Kotoko faces Karela United.
