The youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Nkwanta North constituency of the Oti Region has made a passionate appeal to President John Dramani Mahama to appoint their Member of Parliament (MP), John Oti Bless, to a ministerial position.
According to the group, during the 2024 campaign period, President Mahama assured them of his commitment to appointing capable leaders who have demonstrated dedication to their communities.
They highlighted Oti Bless’s extensive experience, including his previous role as Deputy Minister of Local Government, Chairman of the Sanitation Unit, Ranking Member of the Roads and Highways Committee, and other key positions held in the 8th Parliament, which they believe make him highly qualified for a ministerial position.
Speaking to Adom News, the Nkwanta North NDC Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Baba Abubakar Alhassan, expressed their unwavering support for Oti Bless, emphasizing his dedication and hard work since assuming office in 2012.
He stated, “Our MP has been a steadfast advocate for the needs and aspirations of the Nkwanta North constituency, and it is crucial that his efforts are recognized at the national level, especially as we look towards the formation of a new government.”
The Zongo Caucus Coordinator further noted that the youth believe appointing Oti Bless to a ministerial role would not only reward his commitment but also enhance the development of the Nkwanta North constituency.
Additionally, the constituency’s communication officer, David Naliber, expressed confidence in Oti Bless’s experience and passion for public service, stating that these qualities make him an ideal candidate for a ministerial position.
