The road will not be without challenges but… – Mahama Ayariga

-

Bawku Central MP, Mahama Ayariga, has acknowledged that his new role as Majority Leader will come with challenges. However, he has expressed his commitment to delivering through collective effort.

In a statement following his approval on Thursday, Mr. Ayariga said he was confident that, through constructive dialogue and mutual respect, any obstacles can be overcome.

The Leader of Government Business in the 9th Parliament, therefore, urged the government to remain steadfast in its commitment to the people of Ghana.

“Let us remain steadfast in our commitment to the people of Ghana. Their trust must inspire our actions and guide our decisions. It is for them that we will build a prosperous, united, and democratic Ghana,” he charged.

He added that he accepts the new role wholeheartedly and expressed gratitude to President John Mahama and the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“I first arrived in Parliament on 7th January 2005. I have served in the Office of the President, served as a Deputy Minister of State, and as a Minister of State. I have been out of Parliament once and staged a return.

“I have been on the front bench of Parliament since I arrived here 20 years ago. But I started my career as a student leader and then as an Assemblyman for Sabongari in the Bawku Municipality. I stand fulfilled today as the man to lead the largest majority in the history of our 4th Republic,” he said proudly.
