Chief Executive Officer of Ghana’s Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Kofi Baah Agyepong, has officially resigned from his position, effective January 24, 2025.
In his resignation letter to President John Dramani Mahama, Agyepong cited personal commitments and aspirations as the reason for his decision.
“It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) over the past two years,” the letter read.
“I am formally tendering my resignation, effective January 24, 2025, to focus on personal commitments and aspirations.”
Mr. Agyepong expressed gratitude to the President, wishing him “continued wisdom and strength in [his] service to the nation,” while voicing confidence in the agency’s future successes.
During his tenure, Mr. Agyepong spearheaded initiatives to tackle youth unemployment and promote vocational and entrepreneurial skills development.
He assured a smooth transition, stating that he remains available to address any urgent matters requiring his attention.
