President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to establish the leanest and most efficient administration in Ghana’s history, limiting his ministerial appointments to 60.
So far, the President has nominated 42 ministers, with an additional 18 expected to complete the roster.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony of six ministers at the Jubilee House in Accra on Wednesday, January 22, President Mahama emphasized, “As the ministers are approved by Parliament and sworn in, I will proceed to name deputy ministers for some ministries, bringing the total number to 60.”
He assured Ghanaians that this streamlined structure would improve government efficiency and accountability.
“As I promised the people of Ghana, this will make this government the leanest and most efficient government ever,” he stated.
