Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have officially secured the services of left-back Kwasi Asante on a one-and-a-half-year deal.
The 29-year-old successfully completed his medical examination before finalizing the move.
Asante brings a wealth of experience and adaptability to the Porcupine Warriors, having previously played for Hafia Club in Guinea, Simba FC in Tanzania, and Mbabane Swallows in Eswatini.
Beyond his primary role as a left-back, Asante is capable of playing as a centre-back or even as a left-winger, offering the technical team valuable tactical flexibility.
“Everyone knows we’ve been playing with just one recognizable left-back in Patrick Asiedu since October last year, and it was essential to strengthen that area,” head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum told the club’s website.
“Kwasi brings both quality and versatility to our squad. His ability to play multiple positions adds depth to the team, and his wealth of experience will undoubtedly benefit us in key moments,” he added.
Kwasi Asante joins an impressive list of new signings, including Isaac Mintah, Samson Eduku, Daniel Adrian Adjetey, and Kwame Opoku, as Kotoko strengthens its squad for the challenges ahead.
