Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Dr. Randy Abbey, has expressed his full support for Kofi Adams, the nominee for Minister of Sports and Recreation, affirming that Adams has the capabilities to succeed in the role.
Adams’ nomination was confirmed on Tuesday as part of the third batch of ministerial appointments.
Speaking in an interview, Dr. Abbey, who is the chairman of the newly formed Black Stars Management Committee, praised Adams for his qualifications.
“I firmly believe that Kofi Adams is the right person for the role,” he told Original FM.
“He possesses excellent managerial skills and I have no doubt he will excel in his position,” he added.
If approved by the Vetting Committee, Kofi Adams will succeed Mustafa Ussif, who has served as the Sports Minister since 2021 under the leadership of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
