Wife of suspended priest shares more details of their marriage

Dora Chichah, the wife of Reverend Father Daniel Okonatotor Oghenerukevwe, a suspended Catholic priest from the Diocese of Warri, has shared a moving testimony about their union.

She revealed her miraculous marital settlement is a reward for her fervent prayers of faith.

During a live session on Pastor Jerry Eze’s Streams of Joy International Church in Dallas, USA, Dora described herself as a then single mother of three, who wanted a partner for her children’s sake.

She revealed that after nine years of praying for a life partner, her persistence bore fruit. “What God cannot do does not exist. Since 2020, I have been on this altar, believing God for a life partner,” she said, adding, “I kept on praying, saying, ‘God, settle me.’”

How Dora Met Father Daniel

Dora detailed how a prayer session in 2024, led by Pastor Jerry Eze, focused on women in their 30s and 40s seeking divine settlement.

Following divine instruction, she relocated and there she she reconnected with Daniel, a childhood acquaintance.

Their relationship developed swiftly, culminating in their wedding on July 29, 2024, in the United States.

While her testimony omitted Daniel’s status as a Catholic priest, the wedding has since drawn attention after photos surfaced online, leading to Father Daniel’s suspension for breaching priestly celibacy vows.

The Diocese of Warri has not issued additional comments on the matter.

This heartfelt testimony has sparked mixed reactions, with some praising the couple’s faith and courage, while others criticize the breach of Catholic priesthood vows.
